Here we are for a late team presentation. Sorry to all the fans ;)
After the departure of Eswaran and the early maxing of two promising talents the team decided to abandon the "Hour Record Project".
This was the first time the team suffered such a huge blow and it took some time for me, the manager, and the remaining staff to recover from it.
With what happened the team decided to return to its roots. First we tried to sign Sam Velasquez, but we got no answer from his manager. So, after failing that plan, we decided to return with a team of climbers. For that we signed 4 riders with lots of experience in tours, one of them being the teams first leader ever, Silas Hackley.
Silas told us that its good to be back home and that he will do everything he can to make the new project go well.
In our first real race of the season we got an amazing 6th place with Fred van Amersfoort in "Billion Dollar Race", giving us 6k and 10 points (the first points in 50 days!). No breakaway guys, so just pure skill, experience and discipline.
We plan on signing a leader before the first half of the season ends. Either that or sign a talent and increase the number of staff members. 320k should be enough to do either one of those.
We hope we can improve the staff members motivation, because since the manager took too long placing a bid on Joppe Marant, the staff members lost their trust on me. Because of me we were not able to sign one of the best climbers out there.
Also, look forward to the release of our PR Manager, Aldis Tindall, who will soon be released from the looney bin I placed him in. For better or for worse he will be back to write some PRs.
See you out there,
Blaze
P.S.: I will be starting an internship at the kitchen of another hotel next Wednesday (finally!, have been sick of having classes, classes, classes), so expect a presentation of a new rider and a possible short story/ies about Aldis Tindall's time away from the team. Will try to maximize the activity while I can ;)
